Stephanie is the firm’s HR Manager and performs a broad HR role and function working across the firm’s 3 offices. With Partners, she is responsible for managing and developing people practices as well as being an integral part in the shaping of the firm’s approach to learning & development, talent management and recruitment.
Stephanie graduated from Newcastle University in 1995 completing the LPC at York Law School followed by a year working in America. In 2000, Stephanie qualified as a solicitor and practised at a city firm before deciding on a career change to HR and joining Taylor Walton. Stephanie has over 10 years practical HR experience and is a Chartered Member of the CIPD.
Stephanie manages a team of direct reports and is supporting a HR Apprentice through her CIPD qualification as she gains practical experience in the firm. She is as equally skilled at devising new initiatives at a strategic level as she is at dealing with a sensitive issue concerning an individual member of staff.
A particular highlight of the role for Stephanie is running the Summer Placement scheme for aspiring solicitor trainees and for those successful in securing a training contract then seeing their development in the firm – some becoming partners.
