For the past 15 years we have been dedicated to supporting the local schools in Harpenden with Herts for Learning (in partnership with Harpenden Lions Club). Through their Life Skills programme we have contributed towards raising an impressive £250,000 for local schools.
The funds raised are used to help young children acquire the vital skills they need to help manage their lives and become responsible members of society. Many schools do not have a budget for Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) which tackles such important issues such as bullying, drug awareness, alcohol and sexual abuse.
The money raised has helped to provide the required materials to almost all of the state and private primary and secondary schools in Harpenden to teach children the skills they need to develop and lead healthy independent lives.
