Did you register an Enduring Power of Attorney or a Lasting Power of Attorney (EPA or LPA) between 1 April 2013 to 31 March 2017? If so, you may be entitled to a partial refund on the registration fee of up to £54 per document registered (see here for table of possible refunds).
If you believe this applies to you as a donor, or to someone you are an attorney for, you can make a claim for a refund by following the steps set out here. The online claim process will take around 10 minutes. You only need to make one claim per donor (not one claim per document) and the Office of the Public Guardian will calculate the amount due to that person for all the documents registered. The refund can only be paid to the donor.
If you are unsure whether you are entitled to claim a refund, complete the process in our guide and the OPG will review your claim. Click here for more information.
