One great way to find out what it is like to be a Taylor Walton trainee is to join our summer vacation scheme. This excellent opportunity allows you to gain first-hand experience of working in a busy and successful law firm. You can expect to carry out real client work and receive support from a solicitor throughout your time with us.
The summer vacation scheme is a fantastic learning opportunity - the scheme would ordinarily take place for two weeks in July each year, however given the current situation with COVID-19, we are not able to facilitate the scheme in July 2020.
Applications for the scheme are now closed (the annual deadline for these applications is 31 March) and we thank each applicant for taking the time to apply to us. The Firm hoped to be able to continue with as many plans as possible but under the current COVID-19 circumstances, running the scheme in July 2020 is just not feasible.
The scheme is aimed at those in their penultimate year of their degree and/or those looking to secure a training contract commencing at our next intake. We aim to offer successful candidates the opportunity to experience work in both a commercial department and one of our private client departments. If successful in your application, you can expect to be involved in research tasks, attend client meetings and court, practice drafting skills and work alongside experienced fee earners on genuine client matters.
We provide excellent opportunities to enhance your team working skills by working with fellow summer students on a case study considering issues facing the legal market. Click on the photographs below to read about previous experiences on the summer vacation scheme.
We thank all of our 2020 summer vacation scheme applicants for their interest in Taylor Walton and for taking the time to submit their application. We hope to be in touch soon with some good news regarding running an alternative opportunity if that becomes possible. Please take care and stay safe during these difficult times.
Our Training Contract application process is now closed. Applications for Training Contracts commencing in 2023 will be open from December 2020.
