About the team

Based in the Firm’s commercially focused Luton branch, our Corporate and Commercial team offer business advice to a variety of organisations, including banks, listed companies, household name businesses and other industry-leading companies.

Our highly respected team offer advice across a wide range of services and its success comes from taking the time to listen to each client’s unique needs to provide practical solutions.

Split into two sub-departments ‘Corporate’ and ‘Commercial’ – our Corporate solicitors advise on all matters relating to the administration and operation of a company, including services such as company formations, appointments/removals of directors, amending share rights and overseas branch registrations.

The Corporate team also regularly advise on transactions involving companies and partnerships, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital and management representation.

Person & Skill Specification

  • Corporate Solicitor, newly qualified up to 5 years PQE 
  • Whilst the supervising Partner will be responsible for managing the client relationship at this stage, the successful candidate should develop good communication skills and confidence liaising with third parties
  • Have a commitment to marketing in the form of writing articles and networking
  • Organisation skills – having efficient systems to manage time and prioritise work to ensure key deadlines are met
  • A commitment to self-development and maintaining up-to-date legal knowledge is an essential part of the role
  • Works well in team with good communication skills

We are pleased to offer the opportunity for a Corporate Solicitor to join our Corporate and Commercial Team.

This opportunity would suit a Corporate Solicitor ranging from a newly qualified Solicitor just starting out on their career, up to a candidate who has 5 years PQE in Corporate law.

The complexity of matters undertaken will depend on the candidate’s experience and will increase with support and supervision (as necessary) as experience grows.

Working closely with an experienced Partner, the successful candidate will assist with offering our clients advice on all matters relating to the administration and operation of their company.

Dependent on the level of PQE, the successful candidate will be expected to have some autonomy on lower value transactions, however, will work closely with a Partner on more complicated matters and will be supported to develop their experience and skills to enable them to gain an in-depth knowledge of a wide range of corporate issues and services.
