Alec is a Partner in Taylor Walton’s Employment team based in Luton.
Alec has specialised in Employment and Industrial Relations Law for over 20 years and advises both commercial and public sector clients of the firm, as well as senior employees including directors on all aspects of employment law including:-
- Dismissals, disciplinary and grievance procedures
- Redundancy – consultation and employee representation
- Discrimination and equal opportunities
- Managing employee absence
- Termination negotiations
- Post termination obligations
- Tribunal representation
Alec has a particular interest in discrimination law and provides training on Employment Law/HR matters to clients. He is also a regular speaker at seminars and workshops.
Alec is recognised as a leading individual for employment law in the Legal 500, which identifies the best law firms and lawyers in the UK. Alec is recommended for his “commercial, strategic and pragmatic approach”.
Before he qualified as a solicitor Alec was an Industrial Relations Officer and a Regional Manager with the British Medical Association and became Head of its Advocacy unit. He subsequently worked at Irwin Mitchell Solicitors in London before he joined Taylor Walton in 2007.
