Alison is a partner in the Private Client Department based in the Harpenden office. She offers specialist advice on a wide range of issues to an extensive client base, including owners of businesses, farms and landed estates.
Alison is a graduate of St Edmund Hall, Oxford and was articled to a London firm renowned for the quality of its private client practice, qualifying in 1991. She remained in London until late 2000 when, keen to work in the local area with a firm committed to private client services, she joined Taylor Walton. She became a partner in July 2003.
Alison is heavily involved in developing the firm's private client base and works extensively with professional contacts locally, in London and further afield.
Preserving and enhancing family wealth is one of Alison's key interests and she prides herself on her pragmatic approach to client problems and her ability to build excellent client relationships. She regularly advises clients in connection with Wills, inheritance tax planning and Probate and she also works closely with the firm's Commercial Litigation Department, having developed an expertise in contentious trust and probate claims
Alison also advises on complex and valuable trusts and acts as a trustee in a number of cases, working closely with other professional advisors in many cases.
