I joined Taylor Walton at the beginning of September 2016 just after I finished my A-levels, as a legal apprentice. Instead of going to university after my college exams, I felt that gaining practical experience at the same time as learning and gaining a valuable qualification was the best option for me. I will be completing the level 3 property apprenticeship scheme over the next two years.
So far I am thoroughly enjoying working as part of the residential conveyancing team. I am rapidly developing my knowledge of property law and am quickly learning how the conveyancing process works.
Prior to this I had never worked in an office before and I was nervous about how difficult I would find everyday tasks. However with the necessary training, the transition from college to work has been very smooth. All of my colleagues are very approachable; if ever I am stuck there are several people to turn to for guidance who are happy to help. I am really looking forward to continuing with my apprenticeship at Taylor Walton and developing the necessary skills and qualities to start my legal career.
