Richard went to school at Clifton College in Bristol, before studying International Relations and Politics at Oxford Brookes University. He then studied his GDL and LPC at The University of Law, London, achieving a commendation in his LPC. He trained at Freemans Solicitors in London before moving on to SA Law in St Albans.
Richard joined Taylor Walton in June 2019.
Richard’s specialism is in Commercial Property, focusing on all aspects of commercial conveyancing (i.e. property acquisitions and disposals, auction sales and purchases, leases, licences , variations, surrenders, landlord & tenant work), including new and re-finance work and development work, such as option and overage agreements.
He also assists with Landlords and Leaseholders to extend their leases pursuant to the Leasehold Reform Housing and Urban Development Act 1993, Leaseholders right to exercise their right to collectively purchase the freehold of their building by way of Collective Enfranchisement pursuant to the Leasehold Reform Housing and Urban Development Act 1993.
Richard assisted in the acquisition, lease back and due diligence of a commercial building in Kings Cross Quarter with a project cost of £15 Million, with comprehensive financing from a major lender.
Securing a former public house in North West London for the purposes of developing 20 apartments. Richard dealt with the due diligence and financing, as well as ensuring the client had fulfilled all planning conditions.
Drafted and conducted a Unilateral Undertaking for a major property developer, ensuring all conditions and terms were adhered to within a short timeframe.
Richard is a Tottenham Hotspur and National Football League season ticket holder. He plays golf regularly and enjoys Theatre and Cinema.
He regularly conducts charitable events to raise money for Centrepoint, a youth homelessness charity.
