Richard Atkins, our long-standing residential conveyancing partner, has now retired from Taylor Walton. Richard has been mainly based in the firm’s Harpenden Office and has spent 25¼ years at the firm.
Richard has made a significant impact during his time with the firm and is well known in the residential property market in Harpenden and the surrounding areas. His knowledge, expertise and attention to detail throughout his career have benefitted thousands of clients and of course not forgetting colleagues and associates.
Richard will now be able to spend some quality time with his family including his Grandchildren and we wish him all the best for the future.
As we currently find ourselves in strange times in terms of socialising, unfortunately, we will not be able to celebrate Richard’s retirement with colleagues, contacts and associates due to the social restrictions we find ourselves subject to. However, as soon as conditions allow, we will look to celebrate.
Richard will be sorely missed at Taylor Walton and we wish him, his wife Pamela and his family, all the very best.
Sharon Mackenzie, a very experienced solicitor who has been with Taylor Walton for a number of years and is well known to Richard’s existing contacts, clients and refers, will be taking over from Richard – we also wish her the very best.
Tom Caterer, based in our St Albans office, will now take over Richard’s business development responsibilities and there has been soft handover for some time now. Dermot Carey, Taylor Walton’s Managing Partner has said “It has been a pleasure to work with Richard for all these years. Richard cares deeply about Taylor Walton, his clients and the conveyancing process, and has contributed much to the latter; both locally and nationally. On behalf of my Partners and all our staff, we wish him a happy, long and relaxing retirement”.
We hope to see Richard very soon to celebrate his retirement in a more fitting way, once the conditions allow.
Thank you Richard.
