Technology & Outsourcing

Our highly respected technology and outsourcing team work with clients from across the public and private sectors. We advise on a wealth of issues relating to IT systems, telecommunications, outsourcing, supply chain initiatives and strategic partnerships.

We work with a range of clients from major national and international businesses, governmental bodies, and specialist consultancies and SMEs.

Our work includes advising on issues including:

  • Internet and e-commerce (including e-banking and payments, security, distance selling, financial services, consumer legislation and other regulatory matters)
  • Outsourcing
  • Supply of IT products and services
  • Technology procurement
  • Telecommunications
  • Technology, data protection, freedom of information requests
  • Technology and outsourcing disputes

We understand that projects involving technology and outsourcing often carry significant legal risk. Our team are experts at navigating the complexities that often arise, using their extensive experience in dealing with originators, suppliers and re-sellers to deliver a highly commercial and effective service.

We recognise the importance of user-friendly documentation, and our commercially minded approach combines this critical element with market-leading best practice.

In the complex field of outsourcing, we work in partnership with our clients, from the initial due diligence phase right through to partner selection, negotiating terms and conditions and advising on the operational transition itself. We work closely with our teams in employment where we offer a TUPE specialism as well as our teams in intellectual property, data protection, freedom of information and disputes to provide a holistic service to our clients where required.
