Supporting institutions to help inspire the next generation of lawyers

When it comes to supporting the local community and inspiring the next generation of lawyers, Taylor Walton has always been keen to throw its support behind important initiatives that strive to deliver lasting change.

Recently, the firm donated a significant amount to Roundwood Primary School’s May Ball, and was listed as the sponsor of the raffle’s top prize.

Generating over £3,700 from the raffle alone, the funds raised will now be put towards upgrading the school’s existing desktop computers, many of which were coming towards the end of their useful life.

Not only will this significantly improve the classroom experience for young and aspiring lawyers, but it will ensure teachers have the tools needed to teach pupils effectively.

Stuart Wickham, Partner at Taylor Walton, said:

“With funds scarce due to the financial pressures that many institutions are currently facing, we are keen to support businesses as much as possible.

“In this case, the funds provided will ultimately improve education for pupils, some of which may go on to become successful lawyers later down the line.

“We are very pleased to hear that the event was an overwhelming success and that Roundwood Primary School have managed to secure much-needed funds during a challenging period.”

Kate Novak, Chairperson, Friends of Roundwood Primary School, commented:

“We really appreciate Taylor Walton’s support, particularly at a time when we know businesses are stretched and requests like ours are numerous.

“It makes a significant difference to our school and we are extremely grateful for the continued support and generosity that has been shown.”
