Leading regional law firm Taylor Walton set out their stall at the Harpenden Carnival on 10 June, with the goal of raising funds for their long-standing charity partners Rennie Grove Hospice Care and Keech Hospice Care.
The team went to town with a coconut shy, complete with a raft of prizes to tempt carnival goers to part company with their pounds for charity.
Participants were treated to balloons and Victorian style lollipops as well as rewards for knocking those pesky coconuts off their stands.
The Taylor Walton team based in Harpenden were thrilled to raise £237.30 in total from the day’s efforts. “Everyone attending from the firm and our many stall visitors had a wonderful day.” commented Richard, “We were delighted to see so many people having great fun, despite the wind, and are very pleased to have been able to raise much-needed funds for Rennie Grove and Keech.”
The firm will also be attending the Highland Gathering in the town on 9 July 2017 to raise funds for the Harpenden Lions Club charities. Visitors on the day will be able to try their hand at the coconut shy once more.
